Megan, Nick, David and Tim - please find some more examples of my experience as an Art Director below (and a special treat at the end!).

OARS+ALPS - EMAIL TEMPLATES

Role: Art Director

THE BRIEF

Oars+Alps, a startup premium men's skincare company, came to me with a need for an elevated look and feel to their email correspondence. The brand asked for a minimal, gender-neutral athleisure feel to the templates in an effort to stay closely aligned with their target market's interests and personality. The ask was for one standard editable template for daily use, and one cheekier fun template for one-offs.

THE WORK

I designed two templates - a standard tiled template allows for straightforward interpretation and correspondence. A second template relies on circular shapes and dynamic sizing to focus on special imagery or campaigns. Both templates were conceptualized and built in a way that is easily editable by the team at O+A for continued refreshing of text and imagery. After creating the email templates, the brand came back with additional asks - a gif, some email collateral, as well as a few branded patterns to be used on social media and across the web.

FOODA - CATERING BOOK (PRINT)

Role: Art Director

THE BRIEF

Fooda came to me with a need to elevate and simplify their sales collateral for their corporate food program. The brand was looking for ways to appeal to office managers and provide a simple argument for why they should hire Fooda for corporate lunches and events in a consice, amusing, confident tone.

THE WORK

I conceptualized and built two bound books to be produced and distributed around Fooda's key US markets. I created illustrations to depict exactly what the office managers would be getting with Fooda, visually narrating each component of what makes Fooda so special and easy to use. To accompany the booklet, I created five templated sales collateral one-pagers to house details.

YOU'RE STILL FAT - BODY TYPE QUIZ (DIGITAL)

Role: Art Director

THE BRIEF

Online quizzes to "find your body type" are often misguided and misinformed. Your computer can't measure your body fat percentage (I think). YSF decided to create a satirical quiz to celebrate and welcome the changes our bodies make once Fall hits, aptly named "Sweater Bodies."

THE WORK

Liza and I created a quiz that argues against the typical online quizzes - designed in the same format and likeness as other quizzes, I added a playful design element to add to the satirical content it contains. I created Sweater Bodies as human forms to add a final dose of comic relief to the act of unbuttoning your pants once Labor Day hits.

KMART - JINGLE BELLIES GAME (INTERACTIVE)

Role: Art Director

THE WORK

Combining my enthusiasm for the holiday season enthusiasm along with key elements that were responsible for the former campaign's success, we added a few "bellies" items to marry the two seasonal sausage fests. I was tasked with overseeing animation, sound effects, microsite layout and logo, and all interactive sharing elements of the game. The game was a success, albeit I still have no musical sensibilities about me.

THE BRIEF

Kmart tasked FCB with updating the last year's Jingle Joes campaign without recreating the same concept. We came up with the Jingle BELLIES - fatter, dad-bod types to perform the same dance and tune as the Joes. I created a game to coincide with the launch of the new Bellies TV campaign, bringing the Joes back and allowing users to play with the Joes themselves.
